How many arbors do I need to support a nylon hard butt?

All the tutorials I’ve seen online use EVA or cork grips which stretch to grab the blank. I’m using a nylon hard butt since we leave rods in rod holders a good amount in San Diego, and since the inner diameter is wider than the blank itself, curious to know what the suggested number of arbors is.
